Transmigration projects are located in Luzon, Midanao and in Bohol Islands in Visayas. The transmigration model, however can be adopted in any part of the Philippines. The major transmigration site is located in Luzon Islands - population 40 million. The major city in Luzon is Metro Manila - population 25 million. The Metro Manila Project is called WaterBus. The other projects are retirement villages to target 3 million Filipinos residing abroad. The rest of the projects are Industrial complex built on top of natural resources-rich sites.
