The raw materials for brick manufacture are clay and coal. All these come from the Isabela Coal mine. The clay material comes from the waste of coal mining. The partings between coal seams called seat-earth are high quality brick materials. Fire-test on the Isabela clay produced a high quality brick. The binding is stronger because of the high plasticity and the bricks are lighter in weight. The finished color is light terracotta. The material is suited for construction bricks, terracotta pots and drainage pipes. Bricks will be manufactures in Palanan and sold to Metro Manila and export. |
