The Agusan Bonanza Property is the site of small mining operations. Small miners go for grades of at least 50 grams per ton to make viable their operation. The inefficiency of gold recovery gives them about 3 grams per day per person. The crude method only recovers gold nuggets for. About 80% of the gold occurs in sulfide form is not visible and cannot be recovered by panning.

Samples from Tunnel 1 (below) recorded 322.5 grams Au and 185 grams Au per mt. Floor samples in tunnel 2 yielded 10.20 grams Au. The mineralized veins average 4-6 meters width. Photo shows TGA geologic staff sampling the tunnel headings.

Most tunnels are located where the Agusan Bonanza Vein (ABV) System intersects the SUWA Vein system where grades are higher. When the miners hit quartz veins, the small miners abandon the working because it is hard rock. Small miners are not allowed to use explosives.
